HOLLIS PARK JUDO PROGRAM

Hollis Park Judo was Founded by Coach George Weers

in August 2001

​Coach Weers worked his way from a 15 year old boy to a Black Belt 7th Degree.

During that journey Coach Weers competed at every opportunity, attended seminars and training camps from

New York to California.

Coach Weers sought answers to how, what and why of the mechanics of Judo so he started analyzing the actions of the best Judo competitors in the World.  After having collected 2000 videos of the best players, Coach Weers published his finding through the International Judo Federation.

Perhaps more importantly; The Director of the Modern Army Combatives had Utilized the information presented through Coach Weers, research.

The data was reviewed, accepted and replicated in Europe.

Player Development

Through the years Coach Weers has applied his research to developed 58 participants from beginner to earning the honor of wearing a Black Belt.  The hard work of these dedicated athletes have garnered 54 National and International awards.
